This week on the blog, we’re doing something we’ve never done before–a state-by-state guide on what to include in a wedding bag or basket. Crazy, right? No, not really. We’re up for the creative challenge! As out-of-town wedding guests arrive, it’s only suitable to make them feel right at home. Have a welcome bag or basket filled to the brim with a few of your favorite things waiting in their hotel room. Basic amenities should include an itinerary that keeps them on time, a map to steer their way through town and hand-picked snacks and drinks to cure their midnight cravings. We’re tackling the states in batches alphabetically, so today we’re featuring Alabama through Georgia. Consider adding some of these state’s local flavors and souvenirs:
Alaska – smoked salmon (make sure you can keep it refrigerated!), Tongass forest cookies, wild berries
Arkansas – honey, McClard’s Bar-B-Q sauce, Iron Works Kettle Corn Co. popcorn
Florida – oranges, key lime pie, Minnie and Mickey Mouse ear hats
Georgia – peaches, Coca-Cola, Girl Scout cookies
What did you include in your welcome bags or baskets? Share in the comments below! And stay tuned tomorrow when we provide local welcome basket ideas for even more states!
