For most brides, just the thought of searching for the perfect wedding dress causes anxiety. What do I bring? What do I wear? How do I know when I find THE ONE?
The WeddingWire Community recently participated in a discussion about trying on wedding dresses for the first time. Click here to read the great advice our members had to offer. Good luck!
Do you have any advice for brides going dress shopping?

You can save a lot of money buying gowns at a sample sale. The discounts are hard to beat.
Did anyone go to this sample sale? What advice would you give to brides who will go in the future? Thanks!
Im a plus size are there any gowns that will be available in my size…22 if their isnt than i dont waste anyones time…thank you
Hi Desirey (and all you other curvy brides out there!),
Sample Sales do not include plus sizes. They are sales of “off the rack” gowns, the ones brides try on in the store. That’s one reason you can get such good prices on them! Sometimes they need to be cleaned or pressed before wearing, but hey, that’s nothing when you consider the savings–especially on something as luscious as an MLH dress.
Samples are usually in sizes 8 or 10. That’s why you sometimes see bridal assistants with the clips, to give those skinny gals a sense of what the gown will look like after the alterations.
Best bet for designer discounts for plus size would be a QUALITY, REPUTABLE resaler.
Good luck and enjoy the shopping.
