In the face of a slowing economy, especially on the housing side, the Bridal Party Blog asks an interesting question as the National Hardware Show is boasting that more couples today are registering for more practical gifts such as home improvement gifts. For instance, Home Depot is in the registry market with a bridal registry of their own.
So I’m curious, are you or people you know really branching out and registering at places like Home Depot?
After looking at wood laminate flooring @ Home Depot w/my fiancee last night, I’m strongly considering registering there!
I work at Home Depot and so get to see all the shiny new power tools and other home improvement items I would like to someday have so that my fiancee and I may upkeep and improve our home ourselves someday everyday I work. In other words, Yes I will be registering there as they have good prices on some of my preferred brands and I’ve got to do something to encourage my stock to go up.
