Q & A with the Bride:
What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?
We loved so many things about the DoubleTree! The size of the dance floor really sealed the deal for us though. Having two large families who love to boogie, we knew that size was important. The accommodating staff and sheer convenience of the hotel aspect of the venue were huge factors in our decision as well.
Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?
Our theme was part “life is sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two,” and part seaglass as Kevin proposed while we were hunting for seaglass. Our absolute favorite detail was an old bicycle built for two that we fully restored for the wedding so we could make our entrance ‘riding in style’. Aside from the bike, we loved incorporating DIY aspects such as banners, pinwheels, and wreaths with Z’s on them.
Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.
By far the best part of the day for us was reading our vows to each other. We each wrote our own vows and kept them a secret until we were up on that alter. Kevin went first which completely shattered any hope of me holding it together. It was a very special moment for us and for our family and friends.
