February 2010
Liz and Don’s wedding reception was broken up into two rooms – one with a wine country theme and the other was a beach theme. They had guests sign wine corks as their “guest book” which they were going to turn into a glass-covered table! The also had a photo booth, two bands, and food to match each room’s theme!

Note from the Bride: “I have always loved vibrant colors reminiscent of a Spanish/Mexican flair, and the flowers, linens, throw pillows and decorations turned out wonderfully. Our first dance was a salsa dance. I changed into a sassy dress and Ryan wore a fedora. We had a blast preparing for this, and it was fantastic! We walked into ACDC, “Thunderstruck”, which took us back to our classic rock roots. Everybody got into that. Dinner was in a wine cave, which was very unique. When we opened the doors to the cave everybody was in awe. The food was wonderful and we loved that it was family style – it was seated but they served us every course. Everyone said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. All the food was locally grown and seasonal. We weren’t able to pick our menu until a few weeks before! But it was well worth it. Lastly, we decided not to have a cake, but had a dessert buffet and passed ice cream/cookie sandwiches. We had fun feeding each other these for our “food” picture!
Having all of our closest friends and family surrounding us in such an intimate environment was the most important for us. Being able to look out and share a smile with somebody during the ceremony made us feel connected. Our Reverend was amazing, and brought everybody into the ceremony. We both had our 2 siblings (Ryan has 2 sisters and Jessica has 2 brothers) in the wedding party, which couldn’t have been more important to us.”

Special thanks to Lauri Levenfeld of Zoom Photography for sharing this beautiful wedding!
