This is one of my favorite themed weddings! I first saw these photos in the Fall 2006 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine and thought it was so creative. Minhee Park and Truman Cho first met when they were in fourth grade and decided to incorporate the schoolhouse theme into their wedding. They even took a traditional school picture with their wedding party!
The guests’ place cards (apples) were placed on this teacher’s desk.
The “lunch bag” favors are a great touch!

If you are planning a spring or summer wedding near the water, keep this in mind! There are so many fun accents you could use to dress up your day. The lighthouse cake might be a bit overboard (pun intended), but you could use fresh blueberries and yellow flowers on a white cake to subtly tie in the theme!
