Do you have some tough wedding planning questions that are causing you sleepless nights? We’re here to help!
On Tuesday, July 31st at 3:30pm ET/12:30pm PT we’ll be hosting a “Wedding Planning Happy Hour” on Twitter, along with our friends at Wedding Paper Divas. It’ll be a forum where you can chat with other brides and share your thoughts on all things weddings. Our experts will be on hand to answer your wedding planning questions and provide helpful advice. And how could we forget? There will be prizes (and lots of ‘em!). There are just three rules:
- Make sure you’re following both @WeddingWire and @WeddingPaprDiva on Twitter.
- Tweet away! We’ll be asking lots of questions that we’d love to hear your thoughts on. And feel free to ask us your own wedding planning queries – or share your best advice to assist other brides. Just include the hashtag #wedplanhh at the end of each tweet so we can see your responses.
- Stay until the end of the hour! We’ll be giving away 14 prizes at the party’s end – but only to those who tweeted using the #wedplanhh hashtag!

Our friends at Wedding Paper Divas are always coming up with fabulous designs for wedding invitations, save the dates, thank you cards, and more! We wanted to share some of our favorite trends that they currently have available.
For those of you wanting to do something different and funky, try a monochromatic invitation! Here are two examples, one for a laid-back soiree, and another for an elegant affair.
This next one is not a new trend, but we still love the idea of using a cute quote on the top instead of a motif.
Lastly, the patterns, oh the patterns! Whether you want to go all out with color, or use a subtle palette, we love the idea of patterned invitations.

It can be very overwhelming to stick to the same shade of color when planning your wedding. When you tell your vendors you want yellow and gray – yellow could mean gold yellow, cream yellow, daisy yellow; gray could mean charcoal, slate, silverish- and then you end up with a mix match of ideas for decor. Which is why we were excited to find out that the Dessy Group, who recently launched PANTONE Wedding, have partnered with Wedding Paper Divas to make this whole color situation a little bit easier. Now you can choose the color of your bridesmaid dresses, flower girl, ring bearer, and grooms tie/vest to match your invitations! They also have included accessories, like shoes, head bands, clutches, and jewelry that also come in the same colors. We’ve created a couple swatches as reference, but definitely go play around yourself – it’s very fun!

The design team at Cedarwood mixed gilded, flower laden candle chandeliers, branches, exotic flowers, birds, nests and layered fabrics for this glamorous décor. Think “The Great Gatsby” meets “Moulin Rouge.”
Laura turned to Wedding Paper Divas to custom design her colorful wedding invitations, and she personally designed and created wedding programs, artistic table cards and favor CD covers in coordinated colors with charming bird motifs. Laura’s mom, Suzanne, with help from her middle school students, made colorful paper origami cranes to symbolize marriage attributes of patience and understanding and to shower Laura and Josh with happiness and prosperity on their wedding day.” -Cedarwood Design Team

Our friends at Wedding Paper Divas and Beau-coup have teamed up and are pleased to announce the launch of Resourceful Brides (www.resourcefulbrides.com). During these uncertain times, brides have found many ways to minimize cost without sacrificing important touches that makes their day special. Resourceful Brides is a great online outlet for brides to share information and real experiences that will help other brides-to-be save time and money for their upcoming nuptials. This exciting new site gives brides-to-be useful ideas for creating a fabulous wedding without an outrageous price tag.
Resourceful Brides is hosting a wedding ideas contest in conjunction with the launch of the site, asking brides and grooms to submit money-saving wedding tips for a chance to win a $1000 grand prize comprised of one $500 gift certificate from each site (Wedding Paper Divas and Beau-coup).
