The National Stationery Show isn’t just about wedding and party invitations.  Designers also showcase all sorts of party supplies from paper goods and wedding favors to woodland and nature-inspired wedding details.  Here’s an assortment of some of the creative party supplies you’re sure to want for your engagement party, bridal shower and wedding:

Festive Straws

Whether or not you’re planning on serving a signature cocktail you can create a festive drink by simply adding these retro-inspired colored straws to any glass.  Designed by Mara Mi, exclusively for BHLDN, the new wedding company from Anthropologie, these striped straws can even coordinate with your wedding palette or drink colors.  Available in plum, black, blue, grey, green, pink and yellow.  Set of 25, $6.

Beer Bottle Labels

If your caterer will be serving beer bottles at your wedding ask them to stick a custom label on each one.  These “I Do” Brew stickers can be customized to feature your monogram, wedding date and any other information you want to share.  Custom beer labels by Grapevine, price upon request.

Things We Love: Wow Factors on Invites

Posted by Jeffra on Jun 25, 2010

We think it’s important to have at least one part of your invitations be unique and stand-out so we pulled some photos with ideas we think create a “wow” factor when your guests open up their mail box:

1. Shape

Go for something different!  You can now do your invites in circles, squares, stars…whatever you want!  These are also great because the front of them have a great presentation and make the receiver excited to open them!

2. Themed

It’s become easier to have all of your wedding materials match, between your wedding website, blog, save the dates, invitations – just like with the below invitation that mocks the look of your wedding blog.  Give your guests something fun to read when the receive your invitation.

3. Script

Fonts can make your invites/save the dates stand out from anything else your guests have received in the mail.  If you know how to do calligraphy then you should definitely address your envelopes in a gorgeous script like below.  If you aren’t the creative type – you can also find fonts that mock handwriting.

4. Patterns

Whether your in to fashion or not, it’s hard to miss that patterns are back, and in full force.  Accept your programs, envelope inserts, place cards, or even your invitations with a pattern that matches your overall color scheme.   It doesn’t have to be bright and color like the one below, but typically that’s what makes it so amazing!
