More for modesty and style than to brave the elements designers created a wide range of bridal cover-ups from a short lace shrug to a 3D organza bolero to a lace overcoat.
One of our favorite designs is the cape or capelet, a lace or tulle over the head accessory that just covers the shoulders and decolletage and features a bridal button closure.
Our top cover-up picks were a cape with tulle and silver beading by Alvina Valenta and a lace blouse which goes under the dress by Carolina Herrera.
Here’s a gallery of the variety of cover-up styles you’ll find in bridal salons in 2012.
