Besides being delicious, fruit can add a decorative touch to your wedding as well! The vibrant colors will match or accent just about any color palette and, in some cases, may be a lot cheaper than flowers! As you can see in the photos above, fruits can be used in centerpieces, as cake toppers, in beverages, or as placecards and favors. Be creative. Who doesn’t love an edible decoration?!

I absolutely love this color combination for spring or summer weddings! These colors are so bold and vivacious, they just make you want to have a good time! Add subtle accents if gold or silver to change the feel of the reception room from elegant to modern. Maybe I should get married again so I can use this combo!

For many brides, the focus of their decor will be at the reception. For those of you who also want to spruce up the ceremony location, take a look at these aisle styles. Whether you choose to simply dress the pews/chairs or if you choose to create a fairytale setting with flowers everywhere, the decor should match your wedding theme as this will be the first impression your guests will have of what’s to come!

Be sure to check with your cermony venue before you settle on decor. Many venues, especially churches, have strict guidelines when it comes to fresh flowers and candles.

It is long standing tradition that the wedding party dresses up the new couple’s getaway car to announce the happy occasion. We all think of tin cans and string, but there are other options! Try tying it into the theme of the reception. Have fun with this. Be creative. Make sure everyone knows that this couple was ‘Just Married!’

Fun Accessories

Thanks to a few of my co-workers, I have discovered The Macbeth Collection and now I’m slightly obsessed! This collection of home accessories and storage containers is absolutely adorable. From vases, to bins, to office accessories, you can add some style and flair to your life with these fun and unique patterns. They would even be perfect as reception accents. If you are having a more casual or outdoor wedding reception, these bins would be great to hold favors, beverages, or use them on a candy buffet to compliment your color scheme. You may also want to use a smaller bucket for your welcome gift to out of town guests. So many options!
