Tanya and Andrey were married at Cannons Seafood Grill Restaurant in Dana Point, Calif. on September 27. “The view from the patio of the restaurant where everything took place was just breathtaking,” Tanya said. “It overlooks the harbor and Pacific Ocean.” The bride wore a custom-made sweetheart a-line wedding gown with a tulle skirt, accessorized with her hair down in loose curls, sash, and a pair of Badgley Mischka jeweled high heels, while the groom wore a black suit, accessorized with a bow tie. Bridesmaids wore long pink chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of garden roses, silver brunia balls, and dusty millers. “I cannot stop thinking about how much fun the morning of our wedding day was,” she said. “It was a very memorable morning when we were surrounded by our closest friends. They were always there — helping, supporting, loving, and making us feel very special.” Before the ceremony, the couple opted for a first look on the balcony. Andrey’s reaction: priceless! Once the exchanging of vows were sealed with a kiss, it was official, only 55 witnessing. Cocktail hour began followed by the reception shortly thereafter. Guests were escorted to their seats via cards adorned with starfishes in the sand. Tables were decorated with white linens, mason jar centerpieces wrapped in burlap and lace, and votive candles, surrouned by chiavari chairs. A three-tiered buttercream-frosted cake concluding dinner. The newlyweds’ best advice? “I would recommend to start planning ahead of time, at least eight months in advance for a small wedding and up to a year for a bigger wedding,” Tanya said. “Take on step at a time, do not rush with anything and enjoy the most exciting time planning your big day. It should be a fun and stress-free process.” At the end of the night, they jetted off to their honeymoon in Mexico.

Classic Black-Tie Summer Villa Wedding in California

San Juan Capistrano, California

Q & A with the Bride:

1. What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

When we walked into the villa for the first time, we fell in love. It had so much character, detail, and history. It was so unique to other venues that we saw and offered everything that we were looking for. It was a very warm and fun environment too. The staff is amazing and will do everything in their power to make your day perfect. I honestly could go on and on how wonderful this place is. It was such a magical place, and my guests still can’t stop raving. Between the historic avocado tree, mulberry trees, cobble stones, statues, marble tubs, beautiful wooden floors, fire places, and windows, this place is a dream.

2. Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

The first thing I loved was my venue. It was the center of all the decisions and details. The second would be my flowers, which were done by Fleurs du Jour. They were absolutely stunning and overly beautiful. Nelli did such a great job. The flowers went along with the villa so perfectly; it couldn’t have been better. The third detail that was my favorite was my dress. It was made by Kelly Faetanini and was 19th century-inspired Christian Dior. It had knifed pleats and a scalloped cut organza.

3. If you could offer one piece of advice for other couples planning their wedding, what would it be?

My advice would be to not sweat the small stuff.  Everything ends up coming together so much better if you don’t. Also, try not plan things last minute. Don’t pay people on the day of. Make sure to give all your payments a week before. Also, relax two days coming up to the wedding, go get your nails done, relax, get a gentle massage, and get some sleep. On the day of, don’t stress over anything because there is nothing you can do at that point, and the most important thing is enjoy it because you are about to marry the man of your dreams!

4. Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.

I can’t stop thinking about the moment the doors opened, and I began to walk down the aisle. I looked up and saw Jaryn with the biggest smile on his face. I couldn’t help but cry happy tears and smile from ear to ear. Magical.
