Carrie and Stephen were married at Capilano Golf & Country Club in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on August 17. The bride wore a strapless a-line wedding gown, accessorized with a jeweled headband in her loose curls, while the groom wore a gray suit, accessorized with a black tie. Bridesmaids wore short chiffon dresses with illusion floral backs and carried bouquet of roses and hydrangeas. Inside the wedding gown, there was “something blue,” which was the wedding date stitched on. Before the ceremony, the couple opted for a first look on the North Shore’s cliffs overlooking the Strait of Georgia. “They had a beautiful turquoise and white details throughtout their venue, which included lots of personal touches too,” Lauren Pursell, the photographer, said. “They included their French bulldog in the outdoor ceremony as well as a butterfly release to symbolize their new life together. Their outdoor reception included long banquet tables fitted with real candlelight all the way down. It seated all of the guests with amazing views of the downtown. Fun fact: Carrie’s parents were also married at the same exact venue, and they even re-created some photos, such as the flower toss.” In lieu of a traditional guest book, there was a photo booth complete with props. Everyone was asked to leave one and keep one. Can you imagine all the silly poses they may have received?

Stephanie and Mark were married at the Historic Fifth Street School in Las Vegas, Nev. on September 21. “I had my heart set on another venue,” Stephanie said. “We threw this one in mostly because my mom had gone to school there when it was the only elementary school in town, and we wanted to check out the renovation. When we walked in I teared up, feeling like this was absolutely the place. But I had been so obsessed with my first choice, I felt like we couldn’t commit to the school yet. When we walked back into the other place, neither of us felt anything. It was just a place. We looked at each other and said, ‘Historic Fifth Street School it is.'” The bride wore an a-line tulle wedding gown with a satin halter bodice, while the groom wore a dark gray vest, white button-up shirt, and khaki pants. Before the evening ceremony, the couple opted for a first look. “I remember there were happy tears and mostly laughter,” she said. “The ceremony involved all of our family and friends, allowing people to get up and give advice or tell stories to show their support of our union. It was important to us to have them be a part of our wedding.” Following, a “this way to more food and cool breezes” sign directed guests to the reception decorated with wooden tables, turquoise runners, and floating candle centerpieces with yellow pincushion proteas. “Bistro lights were the only detail I insisted on,” Stephanie said. “The space practically demanded it.” Dinner and dancing continued throughout the night, even a photo booth provided some entertainment too! The favors? A deck of playing cards. How fun is that?

Lauren and Jarratt were married at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel in Kohala Coast, Hawaii on May 31. “We both loved the history, architecture and simple beauty of it,” Lauren said. “We knew it would be a place we would always return to and the perfect place to get married!” The bride wore a strapless sheath wedding gown with a beaded bodice, accessorized with her hair down in loose curls, while the groom kept it casual with a white button-up shirt and khaki pants, accessorized with a lei. Bridesmaids wore long ruffled fuchsia dresses and carried bouquets of peonies, roses, lilies, and succulents. Only 25 guests were in attendance for the intimate ceremony with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop. The newlyweds’ favorite moment? “When we were pronounced husband and wife and had our first kiss,” she said. Of course, it wasn’t about the details of the day! “Don’t worry about the details on your wedding day,” Lauren said. “Enjoy all the special moments and know you will be marrying the person you love with all of your friends and family around you.” A long banquet table was decorated with a turquoise runner, mercury glass centerpieces, and tall pillar candles atop candelabras. Even crystal chandeliers hung high above from the trees! There were two dinner entree options: fish and beef filet. Luckily, room was spared when it came time for dessert. A three-tiered buttercream-frosted cake with cascading blooms looked super irresistible. And that’s not all — a special performance was made from a fire dancer.

Niki and Stephen were married at Sarchet Event Center in Platteville, Colo. on August 16. The bride wore a lace bodice a-line wedding gown, accessorized with a pair of Badgley Mischka jeweled peep-toe pumps, while her bridesmaids wore turquoise dresses with illusion halter necklines. Their red bouquets featured roses and dahlias. Guests were greeted with a “You have my whole heart for my whole life” sign and paper fans to keep cool. During the outdoor ceremony underneath the garden’s gazebo, they combined different colored jars of sand into an hourglass to symbolize their unity. Portraits were then taken amongst the free range and prairie as the sun was minutes away from setting. Bonus: golden hour! You won’t want to miss the AMAZING sparkler send off too.

Intimate Turquoise and Yellow Fall Wedding in Arizona

Phoenix, Arizona

Q & A with the Bride:

1. What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

It was available! My original venue had to cancel my wedding 12 weeks prior due to event restrictions. Talk about anxiety! We had people traveling from all over the country and thank goodness I did my own invitations because I hadn’t yet printed them.

2. Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

1. Shoes

2. Brooch

3. Flowers

3. Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.

Reading my vows. Dan and I decided to write our own vows, and although, I was very reluctant at first because I was nervous, I am so glad that we did. I’ll remember that moment forever.
