“Kelley and Denard’s wedding was so fun to photograph. There was so much color! From the bold red and teal of the bridesmaid’s outfits to the Asian-inspired parasols- it really made everyone stand out against the natural, fall colors. The bride and groom made it impossible for their guests not to have a good time. Little details, such as the checkerboards and souvenir cake jars, kept the guests entertained and comfortable. With a Krispy Kreme cake and homemade pumpkin decor, Kelley and Denard’s playful personalities were reflected throughout Front Porch Farms. As the night stretched on, guests were treated to family-style dining and danced the night away under strands of lights. Everyone left relaxed after a wonderful evening celebrating the union of Kelley and Denard.”

Our Q&A with the Bride:
What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?
We chose to have our wedding and reception at my parents’ home because of the beautiful backdrop and landscape that was already present. We wanted an intimate setting with all our close family and friends , so it was absolutely perfect.
Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?
The arbor that was built for our ceremony , it was breathtaking. My wedding dress, I felt like a princess from the moment I put it on. The decor for our reception, our tent had an array of table linens , flower arrangements , twine balls hanging from the ceiling, and our monogram on the dance floor.
Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.
When I walked down the aisle and saw Mark for the first time. I was so excited and nervous all at the same time. It will be a memory that I will cherish forever.
Paige & John
From the Photographer: Paige and John had the wedding of their dreams. The two were married in front of their closest family and friends at Blackberry Farm in Walland, TN – named North America’s #1 Resort by Travel and Leisure Magazine. Paige and John are from Chicago and have family all over the country, so it was a southern destination wedding in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Paige and her mother, who helped with the design, have a beautiful and elegant style that comes through in all of the gorgeous details from Paige’s wedding. Starting with the venue, Blackberry Farm is set in one of the most beautiful parts of the Smoky Mountains with a fully functioning farm and 5 star dining facility with a philosophy dedicated to sustainable farming and farm to table cuisine. On the property Blackberry has llamas, horses, truffle dogs, sheep, among other animals and fish. Their amazing ceremony took place on the lawn of the main house, overlooking the mountains. The reception took place at Blackberry’s beautiful barn dining facility, and the details that Paige and John incorporated are almost too many to list. The wanted to stick with the feel of Blackberry Farm’s already beautiful, rustic atmosphere, but enhance it with touches of Paige and John’s taste. For the flowers, they enlisted the help of NYC-based florist Julio Jimenez, incorporating hydrangeas, peonies, orchids, roses, blooming pear branches, among many other spring blooms. To soften some of the barn textures, they added moss, tulip bulbs, votives, and many candles. All in all, Paige and John had an incredibly romantic wedding that involved all of their closest friends and family in a breathtaking place for an unforgettable weekend. ~ Natalie, Watson-Studios

From the Photographer: Sit back and enjoy this wedding with a glass of sweet iced tea and a warm slice of peach cobbler! Jessica and Sean’s southern wedding was March 31, 2012, at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church — the cutest little white country chapel in Tennessee (built in 1894) that you have ever seen! And their wedding reception was at the Museum of Appalachia. Their wedding included lots of personalized and sentimental touches, including hand made bridesmaids dresses in vintage patterns, a quilt-square guestbook, tea-stained place cards from etsy, wood burn signs hand made by the groom, and antique china the couple collected at rummage sales and antique stores over the course of their engagement. The couple even found a plate from the same pattern the groom’s grandmother had – and that plate was for his mother on their wedding day. The groom & groomsmen had personalized cufflinks with their initials on them, and the bride also wrapped her bouquet with a lace doily her great-grandmother hand made. After dashing out of the little white country church, the couple drove off in an antique 1960′s Corvette Convertible. Their wedding cake was made by a friend, Charlotte Click, who was also the mother of one of the bridesmaids, who the bride had known most of her life. ~JoPhoto
