Nicole and Steven were married at Blue Hound Farm in Lewisberry, Pa. on September 7. “It was absolutely breathtaking,” Nicole said. “Our wedding day was 80 degrees and sunny. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect atmosphere.” The bride wore a lace trumpet Sophia Tolli wedding gown, accessorized with a blusher veil, while her bridesmaids wore various shades of nudes. “The most exciting party of our wedding was when Steven and I did our first look,” she said. “There was so much anticipation building up as we stood there with our eyes closed, holding dozens of balloons in front of our faces, with our bridal party and parents surrounding us. Our photographer finally said, ‘Let go!” and Steven was standing there with a huge smile on his face, white rose and card in hand, and looked as handsome as always.” The reception was held inside the barn where tables were decorated with twinkling lights overhead, and personalized thank you-notes at each place setting. Instead of table numbers, there was table songs. “When our guests heard their song play, they knew it was their turn to head to the buffet,” Nicole said. Guests were also asked to sign a corn hole set. How clever!

Q & A with the Bride:

1. What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

We picked The Peter Allen House because it had the perfect combination of beautiful outdoor scenery and a classy vintage backdrop.

2. Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

My bouquet, the ceremony programs, and the signs my Dad made for around the grounds.

3. Give us the one moment in your wedding you can’t stop thinking about.

As part of our wedding, we decided to do a foot washing ceremony to demonstrate our commitment to putting the other first and serving one another in love. The combination of this act, the music, and the atmosphere made it a very memorable moment, not just for ourselves, but for everyone who attended.
