Designer Lazaro Perez created a collection of romantic gowns. Lace, sweetheart necklines and floral embroidery were just a few of the beautiful details seen throughout the line. Here are a few gowns and details that we fell in love with:

Tiered Gown: This ivory wedding dress features flower appliques on the bodice, a dropped waist and a three tiered tulle skirt.

Mini Dress: This ivory Alencon lace mini wedding dress has a tulle overskirt, and is sure to make a dramatic statement as you walk down the aisle.

Watteau Train: Remember that most of your guests will be seeing you from behind so you want to choose a dress that has detailing on the back. On the back of this trumpet gown is a large horsehair bow and Watteau train.

Lace Bolero: Matching the Alencon bodice, brides can keep their arms covered for a religious ceremony with this lace keyhole bolero.

Cap Sleeves: For a bride who wants coverage for the whole night, this A-line gown has a V-neckline and cap sleeves.

Bridal Market Recap: JLM Couture {Part II}

Here’s Part II of my review of the JLM Couture collections with gowns from Alvina Valenta, Tara Keely and Lazaro:

Tara Keely – You don’t see many ball gowns with box pleats these days.  I think when I started working in bridal you saw a lot more of them.  This mikado satin ball gown has a pleated bodice with sweetheart neckline, a crystal belt for just a touch of sparkle and a full ball gown skirt with a chapel train and pockets, which I’ll discuss next.

Bridal Market Recap: JLM Couture {Part I}

JLM Couture is comprised of five lines:  Jim Hjelm, Blush, Alvina Valenta, Tara Keely and Lazaro.  And in addition to wedding gowns they also design bridesmaid dresses.

The Fall 2011 collections have something for every bride, no matter what wedding-day look you’re going for — glamorous, romantic, dramatic, classic and even destination brides.

I divided the JLM post into two, so here’s post #1 with my top picks for the Jim Hjelm and Blush lines:

1 – Instead of full blooms adorning your wedding dress opt for scattered petals instead.  You get the same spring-y, garden feel but it’s more subtle and a sweet look.
