Q & A with the Bride:

What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

The stunning beauty of the botanical garden really speaks for itself. The Gardens truly bring a slice of the amazing Arizonan desert to the city.  We love the natural setting and knew the weather would be perfect at that time. And we felt better knowing our money would be used to support the Garden.

Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

  1. Succulents that my family grew and we replanted after the wedding. My mom, two aunts and I created the entire reception décor.  My aunt even made a coordinated crackled wooden card box, Novia/Novio, Muchas Gracias and Amor signs.
  2. My sister in law put together two guest books, Polaroids and map with pins, which was cool since we had people visiting from all over the US and the world.
  3. My husband wrote our ceremony music and with his brother-in-law recorded the music. For the recessional we had a surprise all women mariachi band.

Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.

The awesome fun we had. Everyone was dancing until the music stopped. And the beautiful vows we wrote for each other- there were many tears.

Are you a fan of succulents? Seems like brides everywhere are including these unique plants into their wedding décor – and for good reason. Succulents are available year-round and are quite hardy, so they’re easy to transport and will look great all day long. Plus, you can use them throughout your wedding day from your bouquet to your wedding cake. Check out these ways to incorporate succulents into your décor:
