Sarah and Stephanie were married at Regale! at DC Ranch in Scottsdale, Ariz. on October 24. “I wanted an outdoor desert wedding, and Stephanie wanted an indoor contemprary wedding — Regale! at DC Ranch had the perfect combination.” One bride wore a strapless silk fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown with a ruched bodice and skirt, accessorized with her hair in a sideswept updo, while the other bride wore a strapless silk fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown with a ruched bodice and skirt, accessorized with her hair half-up/half-down in loose curls. The only difference between the two: beaded bling. Bridesmaids wore long chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of roses, calla lilies, succulents, and lisianthus. Before the ceremony, the couple opted for a first look. “We realized that we had very similar wedding dresses,” she said. “Neither of us had seen the other’s dress before that day.” They even surprised each other with gifts! (i.e. a locket necklace) “We decided to walk down the aisle together as neither of us wanted to be at the altar first,” Sarah said. “That moment when we met up before was truly unforgettable.” Once the exchanging of vows were sealed with a kiss, it was official, almost 55 witnessing. “Our entire bridal party danced to Chris Brown’s song ‘Forever’ as they were announced,” she said. “It was fun to be surrounded by family and friends to start the reception right.” Tables were decorated with gray linens, purple napkins, and pillar candle centerpieces atop mirrors, surrounded by chiavari chairs. “I spent most of the year making paper stars by hand for the ceiling,” Sarah said. “They turned out beautiful.” There was even an entire display of family photos. A two-tiered buttercream-frosted cake was cut and served for dessert concluding dinner. The newlyweds’ best advice? “Try and enjoy the planning process as opposed to stressing about it,” she said. “A wedding is a celebration.” At the end of the night, they exited amongst a sea of sparklers, and jetted off to their honeymoon in Hawaii.

Q & A with the Bride & Groom:

1. What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

Turks & Caicos is a beautiful island with clear and calm blue waters and gorgeous white sand. We chose Beaches Resorts specifically because they are kid-friendly and offer activities for everyone.

2. Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

1. The monochromatic décor of the Martha Stewart wedding theme, which was chic and natural, available at Beaches and Sandals resorts.

2. The colorful pom poms that we brought, and  our guests hung in the trees and above the reception area.

3. The black and white (mostly infant) photos of all of our guests hung in a row on one side of the reception area.

3. Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.

We always reminisce about the moment just before we walked into the reception.  After our ceremony and once the photos were taken, we had a quiet moment just the two of us while our friends were finishing with decorating the reception area.  We told one-another that we should really remember this moment and just how happy we felt!
