Simone Carvalli showed a mix of fun and flirty dresses as well as formal gowns at their Spring 2012 runway show. Brides will be able to find a more modest look for their ceremony and sexier options for their reception. Here are five designs we loved:
Sparkle Surprise: Hidden in the center of each ruffle on this one-shoulder gown are a small cluster of crystals. A small touch that we thought was a nice one.
Mocha for Bridesmaids: These light brown bridesmaid dresses were two of our market favorites. In addition to the color we really liked the black applique swirl design on the above-the knee V-neck dress shown on right and the bodice draping and flirty skirt on the left.
Flat Flowers: We saw a range of three dimensional flowers at market but this flat and fringed petal design was one of our favorites. The modern blooms accent a sash at the waist and the shoulder straps. (The draping on this bodice is also quite flattering.)
Hourglass Figures: Show off a narrow waist in this fit-to-flare gown made of lace and accented with satin and a crystal embellishments. The satin draping draws the eye in and gives the impression of a narrow waist as well as flatters one.
Reception Dress: Similar to one of our five faves from last season’s Simone Carvalli show is this short and sexy dress, perfect for the reception or after party. The one-shoulder tank sleeve is embellished with crystals and pearls and the skirt and hem are adorned with over-sized flowers with crystal centers.
