Melissa and Diego were married at Vrinda’s Meditation Garden in Miami, Fla. on September 10. “I always wanted to have an outdoor wedding,” Melissa said. “I love nature, and I wanted it to be at an ashram, so it was the perfect place.” Surrounded by 50 closest family and friends, the couple proclaimed their vows to each other. “During Vedic wedding ceremonies, the vows you exchange with your spouse include swearing friendship, fidelity, companionship, love, care, and to abide by them for 100 autumns,” she said. “How beautiful is that! Every word, and my husband’s look into my eyes when he was saying them to me are unforgettable.” The reception followed underneath a tent lit with lanterns. Tables were decorated with pink and orange linens and grass centerpieces. The guests’ favorite detail? The naked wedding cake with three different flavors: passion fruit, blueberry, and spirulina.

Briana and Paul were married at the Calhoun Beach Club in Minneapolis, Minn. on May 24. The bride walked down the candlelit aisle wearing a sweetheart ruffled mermaid wedding gown, accessorized with drop pearl earrings, a cathedral veil, and gold glitter peep-toe pumps, while the groom stood patiently waiting wearing a black tuxedo, accessorized with white cufflinks. We love her peony bouquet! Programs included a pink chevron pattern, which was used throughout stationery, including the invitations and table numbers. Following the intimate ceremony, 75 guests enjoyed sipping on “cosmo-’paul’-itans” and “‘bri’-linis” — the newlywed’s signature drinks! Reception tables were decorated with ivory linens and rose and hydrangea centerpieces, and the cake featured two little birds on top. Who was the first person to cut-lose on the dance floor? Grandma!

Sydney and Alex were married at the Inn at Huntington Creek in Rock Hall, Md. on June 22. “We loved the land surrounding our venue,” Sydney said. “Because [it] included an inn and several cottages, we were able to have our ceremony and reception at the same place, and we were able to stay there all weekend with several of our family and friends.” The bride wore a tulle J.Crew wedding gown, accessorized with a necklace, bracelet, and earrings. Her bouquet featured bright pink peonies! “I really loved experiencing our first look, and then being able to have Alex to myself for an hour before the ceremony and party started,” she said.  ”I had a lot of excited energy, but was able to relax a little more when we were together!” The tented reception was decorated with blue table runners, napkins, and utensil place cards at each setting. Guests were asked to leave their thumbprint on a piece of bicycle artwork along with well wishes and advice for the newlyweds. Their favorite part? “Dancing in the barn after dinner was incredible!” Sydney said. “Also, we had a pleasant summer breeze blowing across the dance floor that kept everyone cool and excited about dancing.”

Jessica and Ryan were married at Old Wide Awake Plantation in Hollywood, S.C. on September 14. Rain showers passed, and skies cleared just minutes before the ceremony was to begin under the towering moss-draped oak trees overlooking Stono River. The bride walked down the aisle wearing a sweetheart fit ‘n’ flare wedding dress, accessorized with a lush bouquet of garden roses, ranunculuses, and greenery, while the groom stood there waiting in a tan three-piece suit, accessorized with a cotton boutonniere. “When the Plantation Singers began the ceremony with ‘This Little Light of Mine,’ a wave of emotion spread over me like none other I’d ever felt,” Jessica said. “I was awash with joy and love. And as they sang, I looked back and saw Ryan (though he could not see me) and was completely overwhelmed by the moment. My eyes flooded with tears. Without my father’s reassurance, I would have lost it.” The reception followed on the plantation’s porch where each table was decorated with a vintage postcard, antique set, and favor boxes filled with almonds and benne wafers. Atop the cake was two bunny rabbits!

Sara and Kevin were married at Serra Retreat in Malibu, Calif. on September 1. ‘The venue had beautiful tile and landscaping throughout the property,” Sara said. “The 180-degree ocean view as a backdrop was spectacular too.” The bride loved her lace trumpet wedding gown and Steve Madden sparkling platform peep-toe pumps as well as all the florals, which incorporated her favorite color pink, succulents, and dahlias.  Prior to the ceremony, the couple opted to have a first look, but as they were exchanging vows, they opted for a sand ceremony to symbolize their unity. Guests were escorted to reception tables that were named after beaches and asked to sign Kevin’s first surfboard as a kid in lieu of a traditional guest book. The night ended in candlelight with rose petals floating in the fountain, and everyone dancing to the beat of the music.
