Rachel and Nick were married at Pinnacle Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio on September 21. “We wanted a natural, warm location with a rustic feel,” Rachel said. “The open garden was perfect for our cocktail hour, and the ballroom with the marble dance floor and hanging crystal chandeliers was the absolute best backdrop.” The bride wore a sweetheart lace fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown, accessorized with a jeweled sash, while the groom wore a black suit, accessorized with a white vest and tie. Bridesmaids wore short satin dresses and carried bouquets of dahlias, roses, and dusty millers. Not to mention their statement necklaces too! “Planning our wedding while living in Nashville made me really lean on my friends’ suggestions and vendor recommendations,” she said. “Luckily, each and every one completely surpassed our expectations.” The reception followed the traditional church ceremony. Tables were decorated with white linens, tall centerpieces, and 250 votive candles. “Our DJ took our list of songs, but also was able to ‘read the room’ and keep the dance floor packed ALL night long,” Rachel said. Guests didn’t leave hungry either — a dessert display was stuffed with a four-tiered cake and an assortment of cookies.

Candace and Jason were married at The Yacht Club at Marina Shores in Virginia Beach, Va. on April 19. “Honestly, everything about the venue was gorgeous!” Candace said. “It had me at hello, but if I had to pick one thing about it, it would have been the water.” The bride wore a satin mermaid wedding gown with crystal beading on the front and back, accessorized with a drop dangling earrings and a fingertip-length veil, while the groom wore a dark gray three-piece suit, accessorized with a white tie and pocket square. Bridesmaids looked oh-so lovely in their blush long crinkle chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of roses, hydrangeas, and peonies wrapped in teal fabric around the stems. The ceremony was set up like a half moon so each and every guest could see. Notice at the end of the aisle the wooden “This is how our story begins” sign? The way Jason’s face looked when I walked down the aisle was all I needed,” she said. “I felt like, in those two moments, there wasn’t anyone else around, and it was just him and I in our own little world.” Following the nuptials, the newlyweds released doves. “It was very important to me to remember our loved ones who couldn’t be there,” Candace said. Inside the ballroom, reception tables were decorated with chevron runners, lanterns, candles, and of course, starfish picture frames. Plus, just look at the cake! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

Alicia and Aaron were married at Murray Hill Events in Leesburg, Va. on September 7. “It had everything we were looking for,” Alicia said. “Murray Hill is a gorgeous estate that overlooks the Potomac River, and it felt like it was in the middle of nowhere but still very close to civilization.” The bride wore a sweetheart lace a-line wedding gown, accessorized with a pearl necklace and fingertip-length veil, while the groom wore a dark gray suit, accessorized with a pink tie. “The pink tie started out as a joke, but when we became increasingly frustrated that we couldn’t find champagne ties that we liked, it became less of a joke and more of an option,” she said. Bridesmaids wore navy blue chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of roses, eucalyptuses, and lavender. Following the nuptials, guests were directed to the barn where they found their seats on a vintage window panel. “The drapes and lighting used to the ceiling was the one thing that my mom insisted on,” Alicia said. “And she was right, it looked stunning.” There was even a popcorn bar! The newlyweds’ favorite moment though? “When Aaron and I danced the last dance together,” she said. “It was ‘Harvest Moon’ by Neil Young that we played because his father really wanted to hear that at our wedding.”

Christian and Evan were married at Newhall Mansion in Piru, Calif. on April 5. “It took our breathes away the first time we saw it!” Christian said. The bride wore a sweetheart drop-waisted trumpet wedding gown, accessorized with her hair half-up/half-down in loose curls, while the groom wore a dark gray suit, accessorized with a black tie. Since they wanted to stick to their pink, gold, and hint of turquoise color scheme, bridesmaids wore satin pink dresses and carried peony, rose, and anemone bouquets. Notice the “something blue” brooch on Christian’s bouquet? “Everyone loves the little details,” she said. “It was my favorite thing about our wedding.” Guests were greeted with a chalkboard sign that said, “Choose a seat, not a side. We’re all family once the knot is tied.” The couple said their “I do’s” under a giant oak tree draped in white fabric. The reception followed with dinner and dancing on stage with the band, which just so happened to be the highlight of the night. And no one left on an empty stomach because Krispy Kreme doughnuts were served as late night snacks. Yum!

Kellie and Tyler were married at Temecula Creek Inn in Temecula, Calif. on November 30. The bride wore a sweetheart wedding gown with a lace bodice and ruffled skirt, accessorized with her hair down in loose curls, while the groom wore a dark gray suit, accessorized with a plaid tie and pocket square. Not to mention her custom Converse tennis shoes! Bridesmaids wore long pink chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of garden roses, ranunculuses, and dusty millers. The outdoor ceremony began just before sunset and was lit with plenty of chandeliers and string lights from trees. After the vows were said and sealed with a kiss, the newlyweds couldn’t help but show their excitement with a fist pump or two. Guests kept warm during cocktail hour with blankets, roasting marshmallows by the bonfire, and a cigar bar. A favorite moment during the reception? “Our first dance and the dancing with all of our family and friends,” Kellie said. Memories were built (and signed) onto Jenga pieces, mini bundt cakes were served as something sweet, and a grand exit was made with sparklers! “This is YOUR day,” she said. “No one else’s, so make it exactly how you want it and not how other people want it to be.”
