3 Rainy Day Wedding Must-Haves

Posted by Caitlin on Nov 06, 2012

So the saying goes, “It’s good luck to have rain on your wedding day.” Symbolically, rain signifies unity, which means that a stronger bond is created when you are “tying the knot” in the rain. Water makes a knot harder to untie compared to a dry one. Just think: Your bond will not easily be broken. Even though rain is never quite welcome, being prepared is key. Here’s how you can keep dry with these rainy day wedding must-haves:

1. Rain boots: Treat your bridesmaids to a matching pair of rain boots that corresponds with their dress and don’t forget to get a pair for you and your husband.

Q & A with the Bride:

1. What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

The beautiful rustic charm of the stone walls and exposed beams won us over.

2. Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

1. The photo booth was so much fun, and the photos from it are hilarious.
2. I absolutely loved my dress.
3. The flowers and decor were beautiful and looked great in the venue.

3. If you could offer one piece of advice for other couples planning their wedding, what would it be?

Go with your gut, and do what makes you happy no matter what other people think or say.

4. Give us the one moment from your wedding that you can’t stop thinking about.

The first look–It was a special moment that we got to share just by ourselves, and a moment I’ll never forget.

Q & A with the Bride:

1. What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

The view!

2. Which were your favorite details from your wedding?

1. Our friends and family.

2. Finally being able to enjoy all of the work we put into it.

3. Our caterer/food.

4. The dance party.

5. Our flowers.

6. The weather.

3. Give us the one moment from your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.

I don’t have just one! I have so many–walking down the aisle and seeing all of my favorite people around, and my most favorite person at the end of the aisle, taking such fun photos with my best friends and family, dancing all night and seeing all of my favorite people on the dance floor around me, eating the incredible wedding cake, and seeing that view for the entire party.
