Wedding Aces Bridal Buds

Of the thousands of new designs showcased at the National Stationery Show the number one trend was color. Remember Vera Wang’s all-red runway show at the most recent New York Bridal Market?  And the bright blue details on Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2013 gowns?  Stationery designers have taken the hint that weddings don’t have to be all white and created collections in a rainbow of colors from bright and bold to metallic and even neon hues.  Here’s a look at the colorful collections you’ll soon be seeing in stationery stores:

Dauphine Press launched a number of new suites for their Custom Wedding Portfolio II book. The new looks include foils (both silver and gold options) and edging colors.  The sherbert (mint and pale orange) palette of the Hamilton and Calistoga suites shown here is a fresh color combination.

Garett and Jessica Mayfield of stationery design company Wednesday have been creating custom wedding stationery for the past two years. The Oklahoma City-based company launched their first collection of greeting cards and invitation suites at this year’s show.  Their designs are a mix of delicate and bold, playful and thoughtful, intricate and eccentric. Below are the Clementine (left) and Chase (right) suites.  You can view the complete collection here.

Iconic stationery company Crane & Co. released a number of new designs that stray from the traditional ecru card with small black fonts. Bright colors, bold lettering and mixing of sans serif and serif fonts, laser-cut detailing and die-cut cards were fresh additions to the Crane & Co. Wedding I Album. The new designs will be available starting in July 2012 at retailers around the country.
