Amy and Gregory were married at the Currahee Club in Toccoa, Ga. on October 19.  ”The Currahee Club has such a magical atmosphere with beautiful views of Lake Hartwell,” Alex said. She wore a v-neck lace wedding gown and accessorized with vintage-inspired jewelry. Alex opted for a partial updo and carried a bouquet made of anemones, ranunculuses, eucalyptuses, and dusty millers. Her bridesmaids donned gray and navy blue floor-length dresses with gentle ruching and various necklines. The groom and his ‘men wore gray suits complete with navy blue bow ties and anemone boutonnieres. “The most special moment of the day was waiting until the time of the ceremony to see my groom,” she said. “It made it that much more magical.” The indoor reception featured wooden farm tables with patterned chevron table runners and mason jar centerpieces. Guests enjoyed a multi-layer cake adorned and were also given bubbles and sparklers to send the newlyweds off to their new life together!

Kristina and Will were married at the White Orchid Beach House in Wailea-Makena, Hawaii on October 14 — all the way from Australia. The bride wore a sweetheart ruched a-line wedding gown, accessorized with a headband in her loose curls, while the groom wore a gray vest and pants, accessorized with argyle socks. Bridesmaids looked oh-so lovely in navy blue chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of all-white roses, orchids, and calla lilies. As intimate as the ceremony was overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the reception was even more so lit with a crystal chandelier, paper lanterns, and candles. Not to mention the palm trees! Each place setting featured a “thank you” tin for guests to take home with them. Can you guess what was inside? Well, it’s a secret.

Aldrin and Mike were married at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York City on February 16. “When we first arrived to the Lighthouse, it was exactly a year prior to our wedding day,” Aldrin said. “The sun filled the gorgeous venue, and the views of the Hudson were absolutely breathtaking. Mike and I had to book it!” The ceremony was officiated by the couple’s good friend, who also is a stand-up comedian. “Our guests kept complementing us on how different and personal it was,” he said. “We all laughed and cried — it was perfect.” They also placed three bottles of wine into a wooden box to open on their first, fifth, and tenth anniversaries to symbolize their unity. The reception started with their first dance to Beyonce’s “Love on Top.” “It was a great transition to what became a huge dance party,” Aldrin said. Tables were decorated with green hydrangea and pink orchid centerpieces, along with an navy blue embossed menu card at each setting. The newlyweds’ best advice? “Take a 15-minute breather in the middle of your reception  – together and alone — to soak in the day,” he said.

Jessica and Ryan were married at Old Wide Awake Plantation in Hollywood, S.C. on September 14. Rain showers passed, and skies cleared just minutes before the ceremony was to begin under the towering moss-draped oak trees overlooking Stono River. The bride walked down the aisle wearing a sweetheart fit ‘n’ flare wedding dress, accessorized with a lush bouquet of garden roses, ranunculuses, and greenery, while the groom stood there waiting in a tan three-piece suit, accessorized with a cotton boutonniere. “When the Plantation Singers began the ceremony with ‘This Little Light of Mine,’ a wave of emotion spread over me like none other I’d ever felt,” Jessica said. “I was awash with joy and love. And as they sang, I looked back and saw Ryan (though he could not see me) and was completely overwhelmed by the moment. My eyes flooded with tears. Without my father’s reassurance, I would have lost it.” The reception followed on the plantation’s porch where each table was decorated with a vintage postcard, antique set, and favor boxes filled with almonds and benne wafers. Atop the cake was two bunny rabbits!

Ali and Ben were married at Trezzi Farm Winery & Vineyards on June 22. “The site was beautiful, but not ostentatious,” Ali said. “The sliding barn doors, the long handmade wooden tables — I just loved it! I knew it was where I wanted to get married.” She walked down the aisle wearing a lace mermaid wedding gown, accessorized with an ivory, and carrying a vibrant wildflower bouquet, while Ben stood anxiously in his tan suit, accessorized with a navy blue tie. With the rolling hills in the background, these two said, “I do.” The reception was decorated with handmade table runners, mix ‘n’ matched place mats, coffee bean favors in drawstring bags, and paper wreaths made from old book pages. “There isn’t one single moment that sticks out more than others,” she said. “I remember. . .eating awesome food and amazing cupcakes and dancing with everyone — it was the perfect day!”
