Summer Color Scheme: Teal + Green

Posted by Caitlin on Aug 09, 2013

Our final favorite summer color scheme of the week AND series — teal and green! This inspiration board is fit for a retro bride who wants a peacock-themed wedding. Wear a feathered headpiece, similar to Sarah Jessica Parker’s in the movie Sex and the City, statement necklace and pair of dangling earrings to show off your unique sense of style. Dress your bridesmaids in sweetheart ruched dresses and groomsmen in solid colored ties, but let your groom stand out in a checker patterned tie. Follow your ring bearer carrying a moss pillow down the aisle with a bouquet of greenery and scabiosa pods. And be sure to make your exit as dramatic as your entrance with a old-fashioned Volkswagen beetle.

4 Romantic Ways to Incorporate Roses

Posted by Caitlin on Feb 11, 2013

The rose has long been a classic symbol of love and beauty. No wonder it’s the quintessential wedding flower and the highest in demand around Valentine’s Day. Since there are over 120 different varieties in color and scent, according to the Society of American Florists, roses lend themselves to all sorts of stylish unconventional uses. Forget having a bouquet full of roses, instead swoon over one of these alternative ways to incorporate roses:

1. Aisle Runner: Can’t resist the ombre effect? Create an aisle runner with rose petals. It can visually enhance any ceremony space.
