From the Photographer:
“Sheffield stepped up to read his vows and asked, “for those of you who knew me before I met Ginna, how many of you thought I would never marry?” Hands shot up in the air and laughs punctuated the silence. He continued, “The reason you thought that was because I was convinced I was meant to be alone. I believed it so much I made everyone around else around me believe it too…. I never thought that I would find someone who loved me just the way I am, especially someone so hot.”

Ginna and Sheffield first met at a wedding. Some of their first exchanges were recorded congratulations to their mutual friends on that wedding day. During that first meeting they shared stories and interests and from that point on their lives would never be the same. Of course, like any great love story (and Sheffield and Ginna’s story is truly great) their journey did not come without challenges. Five years after that first meeting, on October 10th, 2010 they proved that their love was greater than anything that could keep them apart and pledged to love and live together forever. Never have I been to a wedding that has expressed more deeply – in each aspect of the day – the love between two people. Sheffield and Ginna bonded over many things, but they particularly loved words. As actors they knew the power of words and memorized and delivered them daily. No words were more genuine, more true, or sincere than the ones they declared on their wedding day.” -Mary Dougherty Photography

Real B&B Wedding: Laura + Travis

Laura + Travis

June 2010

Ontario, Canada

From Mary Dougherty Photography:

“Laura is the last of my college friends to get married.  She and Travis actually met in high school and even went to prom together – but it wasn’t until after college that they reconnected and started dating. So that’s the basics of Laura and Travis, but really there’s so much more… and I don’t even know where to begin to describe their wedding. It took place at a bed and breakfast, and it was wonderful to have all of the friends stay there so we could spend more time together. Even though the forecast called for rain after many prayers the day was beautiful and sunny and the wedding took place outside as planned. It was perfect and although I didn’t photograph the wedding, I did take a few shots of some of the details so you can see the work and personal touches they added.”

Real Florida Wedding: Ginny + Marc

Ginny & Marc

May 2010

Location: TPC Sawgrass ~ Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida

From the Bride:

“We met in the 9th grade in Junior High School in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Although we were friends, we never dated. Coincidentally, we both moved to Florida for college. I went to The Florida State University and Marc attended the University of South Florida. We spent the last 3 years of our college careers driving 3 1/2 hours to spend short weekends together.

The wedding was the most challenging event I have ever organized. I am a kindergarten teacher and, at the time, was finishing my Master’s degree. I felt as though I had three full-time jobs and at one point…or maybe many. I attempted to get the majority of the work done as soon as I could, seeing as how I graduated a month after our wedding. Sweat and tears aside, the day turned out to be absolutely amazing. Marc and I had a blast at the wedding and it was neat to see all of our hard work pay off and watch as it all came together. We were so happy to spend our special day with so many of our loved ones and are excited to begin the rest of our lives as ‘Mr. and Mrs.’” -Ginny
