Punk pop star Gwen Stefani surprised us all when she walked down the aisle wearing an off-the-shoulder silk faille wedding dress complete with an ombre train at her September 2002 wedding to Gavin Rossdale in London’s Covent Garden. The custom dress and antique lace veil were both created by former Christian Dior designer John Galliano and donated to the Victoria & Albert Museum after the wedding. “But it’s a work of art,” said Stefani in Elle UK magazine. “It needed to be seen.” It’s safe to say she started the pink wedding dress trend we’ve seen other celebrities wear on their big day, including Jessica Biel, Reese Witherspoon, and Anne Hathaway. Ashley Hebert, who starred in the seventh edition of “The Bachelorette,” is tying the knot to J.P. Rosenbaum in Fiji this weekend. And yes, their wedding will be televised on ABC! The special will air later in December and will include Hebert’s dress fitting and the bachelor and bachelorette parties. Like many other celebrity brides, who have worn colored wedding dresses this year, Hebert hinted that her custom-made gown will not be white as well, according to US Weekly. Here’s our predictions: Maybe she’ll wear a pink gown similar to Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel or maybe start a new trend with a silver ruffled gown accented with a floral embellishment.
