Summer Color Scheme: Emerald + Navy Blue

Posted by Caitlin on Jul 31, 2013

Our third favorite summer color scheme — emerald and navy blue! This inspiration board is fit for a preppy bride searching for her “something green” instead of her “something blue” since Pantone announced it’s 2013 color of the year. Incorporate emerald into your bouquets, boutonnieres, and bridesmaid dresses but also navy blue into your stationery, peep toe pumps, and mixed berry chiffon cake for an added nautical look.

Vintage Spring Wedding in Franklin Tennessee

Martha & Kyle

May 21

Franklin, Tennessee

About the Wedding: “You can’t help but smile when you’re around Martha and Kyle! They are such a sweet couple and are hopelessly in love with each other. Throughout the planning process, they never lost sight of the ultimate goal: marriage! Their wedding day got off to a damp start with a spring shower, but it soon passed and gave way to a beautiful day. The moment they first saw each other was magical and they couldn’t stop grinning for the rest of the day! They love the outdoors and were excited to have their wedding on a farm. They opted for vintage decor and used old books, metal pails, and candles in mercury glass as center pieces. They chose beautiful understated wildflowers in yellows, blues and whites, which were woven into honeysuckle vines to create a beautiful archway on the porch where the ceremony took place. Afterwards, guests were delighted to enjoy some of the couples favorite foods, including tacos and specialty drinks from the ever popular Mas Tacos truck, a local favorite. Friends and family danced the night away under Italian string lights and wished the couple well as they departed in a vintage red Mustang convertible.” ~Shannon, Southall Eden
