Summer Color Scheme: Yellow + Brown

Posted by Caitlin on Aug 05, 2013

This week on the blog, we’re continuing with our favorite summer color schemes. First up — yellow and brown! This inspiration board is fit for a rustic bride seeking a barn or ranch wedding. {Cue the horses.} Choose a bridal bouquet filled with daisies and sunflowers and a boutonniere filled with billy balls for your groom’s lapel. Show your country charm by wearing a pair of cowboy boots, Tip: Give your bridesmaids matching pairs as thank you gifts. No cocktail hour is complete without a freshly squeezed lemonade served in mason jars, which can double as favors, perhaps? Or maybe “Make Your Own Butter” kits set at each place setting to complement guests’ own down home cooking recipes.

Posted by Caitlin on Feb 11, 2013

Since there are over 120 different varieties in color and scent, according to the Society of American Florists, roses lend themselves to all sorts of stylish unconventional uses. Forget having a bouquet full of roses, instead swoon over one of these alternative ways to incorporate roses:

1. Aisle Runner: Can’t resist the ombre effect? Create an aisle runner with rose petals. It can visually enhance any ceremony space.
