When searching for a wedding dress, one of the first decisions you’ll need to make is to pick a silhouette. Do you want a full classic ballgown or a sleek body-hugging mermaid? Or maybe something in between? Try on a few dresses in each silhouette to see which looks best on you, and which would look best at your venue.  Check out some of our favorite brand-new mermaid wedding dresses, as well as some hot-off-the-runway ballgowns we loved. And while you’re at it, tell us:

New Wedding Dresses: Mark Zunino for Kleinfeld

Posted by Kim on May 31, 2012

Ever since “The Bachelor” Season 16 winner Courtney Robertson was photographed trying on a wedding gown at Mark Zunino’s Los Angeles showroom, there has been a buzz surrounding the designer’s new bridal collection. At Zunino’s debut show (where Courtney and her fiance Ben Flajnik sat front row), many of the gowns featured sexy, form-fitting silhouettes, but there were also a few grand ballgowns thrown into the mix. Check out the first and last looks from the show:

The very first gown to cross the runway was the one Courtney was spotted trying on. We liked the contrast between the super-sexy, form-fitting silhouette and the feminine floral details and soft feel – an ideal gown for a garden wedding. The final dress was a truly glamorous ballgown – beaded sweetheart bodice, satin bubble skirt – definitely a show-stopper.

Check out all of the new Mark Zunino wedding dresses, which will be available exclusively at Kleinfeld in New York. And tell us in the comments: Are you more into romantic gowns or glamorous styles?

We saw all types of gown silhouettes during bridal market, but most prominent, perhaps, were super-fitted trumpet and mermaid wedding dresses. Whether they were covered in sparkle or completely unadorned, they gave off a real Hollywood glamour girl vibe and truly show off a bride’s curves.
