Laura and Raj were married at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, N.J. on November 17. “Raj and I have very opposite taste,” Laura said. “I am rustic, he is modern. The Westmount was the perfect balance.” She stunned in a strapless sweetheart lace wedding gown, accessorized with chooras, or red and white bangles, which are an Indian wedding tradition. Laura’s hair was tightly curled and pinned to one side, and she carried a bouquet made of all-white roses and hydrangeas. Her bridesmaids wore navy blue chiffon floor-length dresses and carried bouquets made of light pink roses. The groom and his ‘men looked dapper in their gray suits with white vests and neck ties. There was the baraat, a processional in which the groom rides on a decorated horse to the ceremony with his family in tow. After the nuptials, the guests enjoyed an indoor reception that included, dancing and indulging in a multi-shaped cake. Yum! “It is a beautiful day where everyone you love comes to show you unconditional love and support during the biggest moment of your life,” she said.
