The groom was outfitted handsomely in J.Crew. Centerpieces, including Ball jars, white/ivory flowers, and pots of herbs, were simple yet classy. From the Photographer: The bride and groom are scientists, having met through their studies over bugs and grasses. Nature wove it’s way throughout their relationship, and so it was fitting that nature was a focal point of their wedding, held at the Indiana Memorial Union Secret Garden. The bride caught butterflies that were released as she entered. Host plants (cabbage) were attached to the chair ends. Apple trees flanked them during the ceremony (it was in an apple orchard where he proposed), and they were to be planted at their eventual home. Pots of herbs served as centerpieces. And bookmarks printed with various bird species were favors. A simple and beautifully-done event! ~Bowersock Photographers

When you imagine the perfect winter wedding, it most likely includes a stylish fur shrug, gorgeous shoes, stunning lace dress, and an adorable couple who love photographs in the snow. When Stephanie Rice, of Hawthorns Country Club, sent over Carla and Charlie’s wedding, I immediately was in love with all of the details. And thanks to Morgan Matters for capturing their day so beautifully, and for sharing their photos with us!
