What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?
We really wanted a venue that was unique, had character and could fit our 300 person guest list. Everything at Fountain Square Theatre from the overall vintage vibe, to the balcony for cocktail hour to the marquis to announce our event really made the venue one of a kind and set the tone for our wedding day.
Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?
My three favorite details were the flowers, my dress (can I wear it again somewhere?!) and our beautiful photos that help me relive the wedding day everyday.
Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.
My favorite moment was when the DJ really got the reception kicked off and we could dance and have fun with our family and friends. We can honestly say we had a blast at our wedding!
Jason and Megan met thru 4-H and their love of cattle. They both went to the state fair showing their cattle and ended up meeting and falling in love. Since cattle was such a huge part of their story they decided to have a “cow themed” wedding. They had chocolate covered cows, sugar cookies in the shape of cows, and the most beautiful cow cake toppers. They also decided to have a logo for their wedding which had the saying “Lotz of Love.” Lotz is the couples last name. All the wedding details and decorations where DIY by the bride and her family. When she first got engaged the brides father had expected to spend a large amount of the budget on a wedding decorator and planner. However, the bride knew exactly what she wanted and decided she could do it on her own..with a little help from her family.
After a two year reprieve, Rachel and Nate found their way back to each other. They picked up right where they left off and time spent together resulted in a proposal from Nate. They relate to and love the story of Carl and Ellie Fredrickson in the movie, “Up”. In the story, they met as children, were best friends, and looked at life as an adventure they were on together. In the movie Eliie keeps a scrapbook of their former and future adventures. She calls this their “Adventure Book”. When Nate proposed to Rachel, he took her to the park and sat on a swing where they had their first date as kids. Nate gave Rachel a replica the “Adventure Book” scrapbook that he had made by hand, and it had an engagement ring tucked into the first page. He then asked her if she would be willing to start a new adventure with him. Details of their love for this story and each other were woven into their wedding. The scrapbook Nate made and used to propose to Rachel was on an end table as guests entered the reception. A painting (painted by Nate’s sister) was next to the scrapbook; a replica of the one Carl and Ellie kept above their fireplace only it was Rachel and Nate’s house on top of Paradise Falls. Rachel and Nate are such a uniquely happy couple and their day reflected their personalities in a beautiful way. ~ Susanna Tanner Photography
From the Photographer: “Ashley and Wil met at an ATM while students at Indiana University. They share a love of fitness and travel, so naturally they incorporated these things into their big day! The entire day was filled with personalized details, especially the reception, where the tables were named for places that were special in their relationship (including the ATM!) Their beautiful outdoor ceremony took place in a “secret garden” of sorts… the Tree Suite Garden at the Indiana University Memorial Union! The October leaves added many colors to the wedding day. The reception followed at Alumni Hall in the Indiana University Memorial Union, with each bridal party member being greeted with Hawaiian leis! After the awesome dinner (including a mashed potato bar), the night ended with a bike ride getaway!” ~ Jessika Feltz Photography
From the Photographer: “Jessie and Johnny’s wedding took place at Whyte Horse Winery in Monticello, Indiana– a beautiful winery hidden in the cornfields. Jessie made many of the details of the day, including the wedding programs that served as fans and entertainment for the guests (there were crosswords and word searches about the couple on the back).” -Sarah Parent Photography
