An “Up!” Inspired Love Story & Wedding

Rachel & Nate

October 15

Richmond, Indiana

After a two year reprieve, Rachel and Nate found their way back to each other. They picked up right where they left off and time spent together resulted in a proposal from Nate. They relate to and love the story of Carl and Ellie Fredrickson in the movie, “Up”. In the story, they met as children, were best friends, and looked at life as an adventure they were on together. In the movie Eliie keeps a scrapbook of their former and future adventures. She calls this their “Adventure Book”. When Nate proposed to Rachel, he took her to the park and sat on a swing where they had their first date as kids. Nate gave Rachel a replica the “Adventure Book” scrapbook that he had made by hand, and it had an engagement ring tucked into the first page. He then asked her if she would be willing to start a new adventure with him. Details of their love for this story and each other were woven into their wedding. The scrapbook Nate made and used to propose to Rachel was on an end table as guests entered the reception. A painting (painted by Nate’s sister) was next to the scrapbook; a replica of the one Carl and Ellie kept above their fireplace only it was Rachel and Nate’s house on top of Paradise Falls. Rachel and Nate are such a uniquely happy couple and their day reflected their personalities in a beautiful way. ~  Susanna Tanner Photography

Ashley & Wil

October 8

Bloomington, Indiana

From the Photographer: “Ashley and Wil met at an ATM while students at Indiana University. They share a love of fitness and travel, so naturally they incorporated these things into their big day! The entire day was filled with personalized details, especially the reception, where the tables were named for places that were special in their relationship (including the ATM!) Their beautiful outdoor ceremony took place in a “secret garden” of sorts… the Tree Suite Garden at the Indiana University Memorial Union! The October leaves added many colors to the wedding day. The reception followed at Alumni Hall in the Indiana University Memorial Union, with each bridal party member being greeted with Hawaiian leis! After the awesome dinner (including a mashed potato bar), the night ended with a bike ride getaway!” ~ Jessika Feltz Photography

From the Photographer: “Jessie and Johnny’s wedding took place at Whyte Horse Winery in Monticello, Indiana– a beautiful winery hidden in the cornfields. Gessica & Seth

March 2011

Zionsville, IN

From the Photographer: “Gessica and Seth were married in the beautiful art gallery of Nancy Noel, a painter from Indiana. The Sanctuary has a vintage, shabby chic style, which matched the vision of Gessica and Seth’s wedding day. Additionally, their on site chef created a wonderful gourmet menu along with the decadent cake in chocolate and red velvet. The quaint midwestern town of Zionsville was a beautiful setting for their photos.” -Jessika Feltz Photography

Bridgette + Ryan

June 2011

Eagle Creek Park - Indianapolis, IN

“He’s in a band. She loves music. He’s a vinyl junkie. She’s in love with Elvis. Bridgett and Ryan’s shoot was great.  Bridgette’s love of all things Elvis was awesome and fit perfectly with Ryan’s love of all things vinyl. It was hot, but we busted out the guitars, mics, record players and vinyls and had an amazing time.” -Rogue Art Photography
