Hydrangeas are a popular wedding flower for a variety of reasons. We love the blossom’s lushness, and how just a few stems go a long way. Plus, these flowers come in a variety of colors, like purple, green, white, and blue, so they fit into many different color palettes. And no matter what your wedding style, from rustic to glamorous, hydrangeas are versatile enough to look just perfect. Since summer is prime time for hydrangeas in many parts of the country, we wanted to share a few examples of gorgeous centerpieces that feature the beautiful blossom. Are you using hydrangeas in your wedding’s floral arrangements? Let us know how in the comments and check out more gorgeous floral arrangements in our flower gallery.

Katie + Tyson
September 12, 2009
Port Clinton, OH
The couple met while attending University of Michigan. The ceremony and reception took place on Lake Erie at the Catawba Island Club. The lakeside ceremony was immediately followed by a tented cocktail hour and reception. Katie and Tyson chose every avenue of entertainment for their guests; a string quartet for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and both a DJ and a band to alternate throughout the reception. The take-home favors for all of the guests were individually packaged S’mores desserts, and the newlyweds exited their grand reception in a shower of sparklers and drove their University of Michigan golf cart off into the night.
