Ashlee and Jacob were married at Matthews Manor in Springville, Ala. on November 3. “It was perfect,” Ashlee said. “I always wanted an outdoor wedding, and Micah’s Meadow was beautiful for that. I also loved that Grace Hall was there too, so guests didn’t have to travel.” The bride wore a sweetheart lace a-line wedding gown, accessorized with sparkly flats, while the groom wore a three-piece gray suit, accessorized with a striped tie and polka dot socks. Bridesmaids wore satin ivory dresses and carried wildflower bouquets. “The walk back down the aisle, it felt so amazing to escape the spotlight and be close to my husband,” she said. “He swept me off my feet (literally!) and put me in the horse-drawn carriage that awaited us.” Of course, there was a “Just Married” sign on the back for all to see. Most of the reception details were handmade by Ashlee, including the centerpieces and jars of honey. “At the end of the day I would have done it all over again,” Ashlee said. “I loved every part of my wedding day. It was truly a fairytale. I owe it all to my mother! While I thought I had a lot of good ideas, it was her timeless class and wisdom that kept us focused and on budget. Looking back I’m glad we collaborated our own ideas and kept it simple and natural.”
