Allison and Brycen were married at Rivermill Event Centre in Columbus, Ga. on March 22. The historic renovated cotton mill had such a rustic feel and beautiful views of the Chattahoochee, according to the bride. She wore a sweetheart lace fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown, accessorized with her hair half-up/half-down in loose curls, while the groom wore a dark gray three-piece suit, accessorized with Converse tennis shoes. Before the ceremony, the couple opted to do a first look with handwritten letters that they read out loud to one another. Fun fact: Allison carried a Bible that was over 100-years-old in lieu of a bouquet. It’s been passed down in her family for generations. How unique! The reception tables was decorated with blue linens and rose, daisy, and anemone centerpieces accented with greenery. A romantic flare was added with lots of candles surrounding too. Guests enjoyed posing with props in the photo booth and received the strips as favors. The newlyweds’ best advice? “Don’t over think and never let anyone make you second guess your decisions,” Allison said. “It’s YOUR wedding day.”

Alexandria and Travis were married at Old Hill Farms in Rock, Ga. on September 14. “It was just breath-taking,” Alexandria said. “We loved how peaceful and quiet it was.” The bride wore a taffeta ball gown with a pick up skirt, accessorized with an ivory sash and fingertip-length veil, while the groom wore a white button-up shirt, gray vest, and brown suit pants, accessorized with a patterned tie. “My wedding day was more than I had ever dreamed of it being, so I always reflect back,” she said. “My favorite moment of the day was my soon-to-be husband’s reaction the first time he saw me in my wedding dress.” During the ceremony with 100 of their closest family and friends, the flower girls in tutus and floral headbands carried a “here comes the bride” sign down the aisle. The reception’s decorations were all handmade! From the burlap table runners, silverware holders, and yes, even the centerpieces.  The newlyweds’ best advice? “Make the day as special as you are as a couple,” Alexandria said.

Mallory and Reed were married beside a beautiful lake in Jasper, Ga. on October 19. Mallory walked down the aisle wearing a strapless wedding gown with lace detailing and a bejeweled sash, accessorized with pearl jewelry. Reed and his groomsmen looked dapper in gray suits and donned blue paisley ties. Mallory’s bridesmaids wore floor-length deep purple dresses and carried wildflower bouquets. The ceremony had a unique backdrop that featured a collage of picture frames. The couple really “tied the knot” by doing so with a piece of rope during the ceremony. Guests sat at long banquet tables at the reception with birdcage centerpieces, and enjoyed the gorgeous view of the lake through floor-to-ceiling windows. The couple even had their guests fill out a “Mad Lib” card on their way out to rate their overall experience!

Lindsey and Jon Paul were married at Cabin Bluff, a hunting retreat, in Woodbine Ga. September 21.  After years of being a camp counselor, Lindsey knew she wanted a “glamping” wedding weekend along the Cumberland River. She wore a lace capped-sleeve wedding gown accented with an ivory sash and blue Badgley Mischka peep-toe pumps while Jon Paul wore a gray suit and blue tie to the outdoor ceremony. Going with a rustic theme, a clear frame reception tent was decorated with grapevine balls and twinkling lights overhead and centerpieces included candles in votives surrounded by greenery. There even were tables for the smallest attendants! Each one received a colored place mat, jellybeans, and toys to keep them entertained.

Sunflower-Filled Summer Winery Wedding in Georgia

Emily & Skyler

August 4

Nashville, Georgia

~~~~~~~~
From the photographer: “Emily and Skyler had a unique situation while planning their summer winery wedding. Skyler was off in Parris Island becoming a United States Marine while Emily stayed back home planning their nuptials. Because boot camp and the military in general can be a little hush-hush, they had to move their wedding date a couple times! In fact, it was so sporadic that Skyler didn’t even get back home until THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING! Talk about cutting it close! But the wait was well worth it for Emily because when she arrived for their first look, she had another first waiting, Skyler in his Marine dress blues for the very first time! Love letters in tow from their time apart during the engagement, they were ready to finally tie the knot. The couple chose the song “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri for their first dance, and it was a perfect way to express the time they had to spend apart as Skyler trained to serve his country. But my favorite part of the day? Seeing Skyler walk halfway up the aisle to escort his beautiful bride the rest of the way since she walked down alone. These two are so sweet together and are now living their happily ever after in America’s true wine country: California!” — LeiLani Golden of Elle Golden Photography
