This season, designers were thinking pink when it came to bridesmaid dresses. We saw many dresses in the palest shade of blush (often paired with black for a little edge), but also in shocking tropical pink as well. The pale blush shade would look fantastic at a springtime garden wedding, while we picture the bright pink at a beach wedding in the summertime.
Searching for bridesmaid dresses for your nearest and dearest? Make sure the dresses you choose can be worn again. One of the best ways to do this is by choosing a style in a neutral color, like navy, champagne, and of course, black. One can never have too many black dresses – they look great on almost everyone and can be dressed up or down in a variety of ways (some of these bridesmaid styles can even be worn to work with a blazer and pumps!).
Dressing your bridesmaids (and maintaining your friendships) isn’t always the easiest process. We recommend selecting styles that are flattering, looks that your girls can easily wear again. We’ve gone ahead and selected our favorite brand-new bridesmaid dresses that totally fit the bill. We’re particularly fans of the four styles pictured above, which we think any bridesmaid would be thrilled to wear to your wedding and beyond.
We love the floral Monique Lhuillier dress – patterned bridesmaid dresses are just so chic right now. And after the wedding, your ‘maids could absolutely wear this to a baby shower or Mother’s Day brunch.
As for the bright colorblocked Jim Hjelm Occasions dress, couldn’t you just imagine it looking smashing at a beach wedding – or a summer barbecue or date night after the fact?
As soon as the black sequined Alfred Angelo style came down the runway, we immediately thought “New Year’s Eve wedding!” But really, this style would work at any super-glam, bling-tastic affair. Afterwards, your bridesmaids could wear this dress for a night on the town.
And the Amsale gown, with its modern one-shoulder neckline, is the most versatile of the bunch. We could picture it at a garden wedding, in a more formal ballroom setting, even on the beach!

…the illusion back wedding gown by Lela Rose (style name: Union Square) and the black lace bridesmaid dress by Noir by Lazaro (Style 3278)!
While we’re not sure that these styles would work well together at the same wedding – the Lela Rose feels a little more low-key but modern, the Lazaro a tad bit more formal (definitely a city ballroom wedding style) – we think the dresses do have a few things in common. Both are feminine and have just the right amount of sex appeal. And both feature pretty fantastic backs!
What do you think? Do you agree with the winners? Let us know in the comments! And we’ll see you next season for another dress poll!
