Kathy and Christopher were married at Montecito Country Club in Santa Barbara, Calif. on December 29. “The Montecito Country Club was the first and only venue that we saw in person,” Kathy said. “With it’s rolling green hills, ocean views, and unique architecture, the country club was the ideal combination of charm and elegance. We knew right away that it was the perfect match for us.” The bride wore a sweetheart ruched ruffled wedding gown, accessorized with a jeweled broach in her side updo, while the groom wore a gray suit, accessorized with a blush tie. “The one moment in our wedding day that I cannot stop thinking about is exchanging vows during the ceremony as the sun set behind us,” she said. “It was both meaningful and magical, and I remember wishing the moment would last forever.” The reception followed inside. Tables were decorated with garden rose, tulip, and hydrangea centerpieces, table names of places the couple had traveled together to, and homemade beer favors at each place setting. “Chris and I started working on those brews months before,” Kathy said. “It was a lot of work but definitely worth it.” Guests also danced the night away to a Beatles Tribute band and ate bread pudding cake. “We wanted to incorporate Chris’ Southern heritage into the wedding, and fortunately, our pastry chef had an amazing recipe,” she said.

Cameron and Christopher were married at Coto Valley Country Club in Coto de Caza, Calif. on July 20. “Coto Valley Country Club was the 11th venue we toured, and we just had a surge of energy as we explored the club,” Cameron said. “Once our tour ended, we stood outside amongst the trees and just inhaled the serenity. Christopher and I looked at each other, and I confidently assured him that this club far exceeded all of my expectations, which was relieving to him, because he was feeling the same reaction!” For almost an entire year, the couple handcrafted most of their wedding details. From the map pinwheels that lined the aisle to the “a cord of three strands is not easily broken” unity signage, it brought greater appreciation to the entire day knowing it was something they had created together. The moment they can’t stop thinking about? Their vows! “We each wrote our own vows, but didn’t read them to each other until that moment,” she said. “Hearing the vows for the first time during the ceremony allowed the reactions to be genuine.” During the reception, Cameron and Christopher chose to have their entire wedding party sit with them as well as their dates. “It allowed us to truly be immersed in the festivities of the evening while looking out at all our favorite people,” Cameron said.
