Laura and Stephen were married  in Denver, Col. on September 15. “Our original site was under water due to extreme flooding,” Laura said. So, they moved it to the bride’s mother’s backyard instead. The bride wore an ivory sweetheart wedding gown with a ruffled skirt, accessorized with a braid updo, while the groom wore a tan suit, accessorized with a patterned bow tie. Bridesmaids wore red strapless maxi dresses, accessorized with aqua belts, and groomsmen kept it casual with simply a white button-up, khakis, and suspenders. “The moment I stepped out from under the porch to walk down the aisle, the morning’s drizzle turned into serious rain,” she said. “I could’ve cried, but my father, our friends, and family we’re sticking it out. Stephen was beaming at me from the altar. What does a little rain matter, right?” Followed the colorful umbrella ceremony, guests enjoyed a tented reception with cucumber-infused water, mimosas, and bloody marys and brunch, including Belgian Liege waffles, bacon, yogurt, fruit, and pecan cinnamon rolls. Yum! Tables were decorated with burlap runners, chevron fabrics, and cactus centerpieces. The newlyweds left in style in an antique Volkswagen Beetle after guests sent them off in a sea of freshly-fallen leaves.

Kati and Christopher were married at Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, Col. on May 31. “Christopher has been visiting Winter Park with his family since he was a child,” Kati said. “As we approached the main lodge on the dirt road to Devil’s Thumb Ranch, we both started laughing right then and there. With a beautiful surrounding meadow and the continental divide as its backdrop, we both knew it was the perfect place for our wedding.” She wore an ivory cotton lace mermaid wedding gown, accessorized with a statement necklace and scallop-edged platform pumps, while the groom wore a tan suit, accessorized with a tie and sneakers. Bridesmaids posed arm-in-arm in their pastel dresses in different styles in the woods before the ceremony! “The moment we remember so well is reciting our vows to each other in front of our closet family and friends with the breathtaking backdrop behind us,” she said. “It was in this moment that the entire wedding came together for us.” Notice the “Best Day Ever” letters that hung over the altar? Inside the barn, tables were decorated with burlap runners, centerpieces filled with garden roses, astilbes, and larkspurs and glitter numbers. The newlyweds’ best advice? “Breathe. Make sure that it’s your day. You only get it once, and it happens in a blink, so enjoy every second of it.”

Niki and Stephen were married at Sarchet Event Center in Platteville, Colo. on August 16. The bride wore a lace bodice a-line wedding gown, accessorized with a pair of Badgley Mischka jeweled peep-toe pumps, while her bridesmaids wore turquoise dresses with illusion halter necklines. Their red bouquets featured roses and dahlias. Guests were greeted with a “You have my whole heart for my whole life” sign and paper fans to keep cool. During the outdoor ceremony underneath the garden’s gazebo, they combined different colored jars of sand into an hourglass to symbolize their unity. Portraits were then taken amongst the free range and prairie as the sun was minutes away from setting. Bonus: golden hour! You won’t want to miss the AMAZING sparkler send off too.

Scenic Mountainside Park Wedding in Colorado

Breanna & Jack

June 22

Estes Park, Colorado

~~~~~~~~
Q & A with the Bride:
1. What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?
Estes Park is in the base of the Rocky Mountain National Park (one of our favorite places in Colorado), and the ceremony location is breathtaking. The moment we walked underneath the pavilion,we just knew it was the place.
2. Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?
1. Beer growlers instead of table numbers
2. Hanging flowers behind our sweetheart table
3. Bridesmaid’s bouquets
3. Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.
Jack and I did our “first look” in the Rocky Mountain National Park (same place we got engaged). Seeing him for the first time, while being in the mountains, was my favorite moment of the day. Also, I didn’t walk down the aisle to any music. Last minute, I realized I hadn’t chose a song to walk to (crazy, I know), so I let nature choose my music for me. It was completely peaceful and quiet, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Many of our guests approached me after the ceremony and commented about how wonderful they thought it was that I didn’t play music because you could hear the rain in the distance over the mountains, the wind in the trees, and the birds singing to each other. It was truly calming and beautiful.
Kara & Ryan
August 27
Colorado Springs, Colorado
~~~~~~~~

From the photographer: “Kara and Ryan’s wedding was held at one of my favorite venues in Colorado Springs, the Garden of the Gods Club. With not a cloud in the sky, the weather was absolutely beautiful that day for their outdoor unity sand ceremony. Friends and family flocked from all over the country to celebrate their marriage. Everything about their day couldn’t have been more perfect, from the majestic mountain backdrop to the The Briar Rose String Quartet who played during their ceremony. The eight-piece Diamond Orchestra made the reception a sensation. Karol Peat of Willows n’ Weeds crafted a gorgeous bouquet complete with a small photo pendant honoring Kara’s sister.” -Stephanie Brauer Photography
