Q & A with the Bride:

What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

We live in Southern Alabama and our families are from Illinois. We knew we wanted to get married in the Nashville area because it is a good halfway point and my dad lives near Nashville. CJ’s  Off The Square was perfect because it is a stunning location and it is all-inclusive, which means they took my vision and then took care of everything from the decor, to the food, to the music.  Planning from so far away with such a helpful staff made everything a breeze.

Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

My table numbers were hand crafted signs with pictures of the groom and me at the age of the table number. It was fun for my mother and the mother of the groom to put together because they got to pull out old pictures, and it made a great conversation piece for each table

CJ’s set up a hot dog bar as part of our meal. I am a hot dog fanatic, and anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE hot dogs. This wasn’t even an option in their catering package but they were happy to make it work. This was a fun personal touch and yummy too!

My bouquet was wrapped in lace pieces from my mom’s wedding dress and mother-in-laws’ wedding hat. I also had a very special and sentimental broach from my grandmother, and Charlies’ grandmother attached to the bouquet, along with my sorority pin.

Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.

It was really important to me that we write our own vows. My husband is one of the strongest US soldiers you will ever meet, but he was extremely emotional and choked back tears throughout the recital of his vows. There wasn’t a single dry eye in the venue. I kept the ceremony decor very plain and simple in order to stick to our budget, but it didn’t matter because the ceremony was beautiful by itself.

Q & A with the Bride:

1. What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

The venue was so beautiful, picturesque and quaint. Also, CJ’s allowed us to have a wedding coordinator, who could organize things with us, considering we were from out- of-state.

2. Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

1. Flowers

2. Gazebo

3. Chandeliers

3. Give us the one moment from your wedding day that you can’t stop thinking about.

Our favorite moment was under the gazebo when we, along with our preacher, bowed together while Kalin said a prayer asking for God’s blessing. It was so beautifully intimate, and we felt as though we were the only three people there.

Happy Tuesday! This morning’s inspiration comes from one of our favorite intimate venues, CJ’s Off the Square, in Franklin, Tennessee. This intimate wedding was filled with a beautiful color combination of purple, yellow, and orange – a vibrant and inviting Fall palette.
