While we may have expected a slew of Pippa Middleton look-a-like designs for bridesmaid dresses, designers surprised us with a range of looks from short party dresses to floor-length gowns. Even the selection of colors on the runway — muted, neutral tones (grey, brown) to bright eye-catching hues (neon green, sunny yellow) – were more fashion-forward than in years past.
Here’s a selection of some of our favorite looks, yes we do love one-shoulder necklines, that we think brides will love and bridesmaids will want to wear again.

Designer Monique Lhuillier is very well known for her gorgeous bridal collection and now she is introducing a new line for your bridesmaids! The dresses are all very clean and modern, but with the simple feminine touches Monique Lhuillier is known for.
The line consists of eight different styles, using silk chiffon or silk dupioni in ten colors and will be exclusively sold online at shop.moniquelhuillier.com as well as in the Monique Lhuillier Minneapolis Salon.
Don’t worry brides, even though these dresses are beautiful, your bridesmaids will still not compare to the beauty of a bride on her wedding day!

It took me forever to decide on dresses for my bridesmaids. Actually, it takes me forever to make any decision, but that’s beside the point! I finally decided on J.Crew when I found their Wedding & Parties section. They have a variety of colors, styles and fabrics that are perfect for bridesmaid dresses. Style your wedding party by specific dress or by color and use the fit guide to determine the best silhouette for different body types. I hope you’re better at this than I was!
