From the Planner: Maria and Kevin live in Chicago and wanted a Florida Beach Wedding in the Spring. They found us online and we began working together. Maria’s family is Ecuadorean and Kevin’s family is Phillipino and Irish. The couple met at Trinity College and we incorporated their college into the custom cookie favors featuring the mascot for Trinity. We incorporated their mult-cultural backgrounds several ways. The rehearsal dinner was at the rooftop terrace of an Irish Pub overlooking Ft. Lauderdale Beach. The welcome bags came from the Phillipines and were brought over by groom’s grandmother. The mother of the bride made home made Ecuadorean candies that were hand-passed at the reception. We had a bilinugual MC/DJ and played a huge variety of music. In addition Maria’s mom made her very traditional veil. The vintage Ft. Lauderdale Sign in the background of the photos added to the vintage yet urban feel. The beach was adorned with drangwood trees dripping in crystals. The centerpieces were a mix of high and low and blinged out table name frames noted all of the beaches that they have travelled to as a couple. ~Simply Significant Events and Occasions
