Can you guess where these two lovebirds got engaged? Amongst a sea of Christmas trees with the help of a typography poster printed with Avett Brothers lyrics. “I have always known that I wanted to take engagement photos where I grew up at my family’s farm in Juniper,” Rebecca said. “We wanted to incorporate several different outfits and liked the idea of using rich colors that would look nice in an outdoor area in the fall.” Notice the glowing sunset? Merri and Peter traveled all the way from New York City for their destination wedding at Phillippi Estate Park in Sarasota, Fla. on October 26.  The bride wore a sweetheart drop-waisted wedding gown accented with crystal beading, while the groom wore a black suit and bow tie. Bridesmaids wore mix ‘n’ matched short and long dresses in various shades from blush to beige and champagne to gold. Guests were greeted at the Edson Keith Mansion’s property with a Brooklyn Brewery biergarten welcome area, complete with local brews, lagers, ales, and IPA’s, but were soon thereafter advised to take a seat underneath the moss-draped oak tree as it got closer to sunset. Notice the newlyweds’ reaction once they were announced husband and wife? Priceless. The reception followed inside the sunroom decorated with silver vase centerpieces and wine bottle table numbers and lit with chandeliers. The dessert display featured six Momofuko Milk Bar wedding cakes that were flown in! Yes, that’s right. No one could resist those unique flavors of banana, pretzel, pineapple upside down, and chocolate chip.

Ashley and Brian were married at Goodwood Musuem and Gardens in Tallahassee, Fla. on November 10. “It was what I always dreamed of as the venue for me — full of Southern elegance and charm — huge live oak trees and plantation house all at the same location made for a picture perfect day.” Before the ceremony, the lovebirds decided to not see each other, but to exchange letters while holding hands around the corner of the building. Ashley wore a satin fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown with a keyhole back, while Brian wore a classic black tuxedo with bow tie. Bridesmaids donned in red orange long chiffon dresses and carried bouquets featuring white roses, eucalyptuses, and dusty millers. “The flowers were absolutely stunning, combined with the hundreds of candles at the reception,” she said. Even though the church Ashley grew up attending,  her mom was able to take the old doors (since they were replaced with new ones) and repurpose them at the end of the aisle. “I started crying during the ceremony, and Brian reached up and wiped the tears off my face,” she said. “It was such a sweet and precious moment.” Guests were escorted to their seats with pine cones, long banquet tables were decorated with tall floral centerpieces, and instead of a cake, there were mini shot glasses of milk and fudge striped cookies.
