From the country tents to the rustic chairs to the country blues and greens, everything about this southern wedding was an absolute delight.” -Samantha F. Categories: Ideas + Trends, Real Weddings Sam + Chase New Castle, CA July 2010 From the Photographer: “There is something special about Sam and Chase. They are the kind of couple when you’re around them you are just happy. Their intimate backyard wedding was such a joy to photograph, so many friendly people and good times! We started the day with a first look. When Chase turned around to see his beautiful bride for the first time he was speechless, but after a few moments he managed to say just one word… “wow!”. This moment set the tone for the rest of the evening, which ended in a shower of sparklers as Sam and Chase left for their honeymoon…” ~Shepard Photography Photography and Real Wedding Courtesy of: Shepard Photography Florist – Petals and Sweets Caterer – Hannibal’s Catering Ice Cream Bar – Gunther’s Master of Ceremony/DJ – Larry Burow, Extreme Productions Categories: Ideas + Trends, Real Weddings Racquel + Casey December 2009 Salem, MA From the Photographer: “Their color scheme was a vibrant orange and teal with coral accents. The eclectic table settings surrounded by lush gardens supplied the wedding with a fresh, cheery atmosphere that complimented the bride and groom well.” -Ashley Categories: Ideas + Trends, Real Weddings Kayla + Andrew November 2009 San Luis Obispo, CA Andrew and Kayla were high school sweet hearts, the prom King and Queen. They are an amazing (and gorgeous!) couple with obvious love for each other but also are very obviously loved by all who know them. The ceremony was held at Grace Church in San Luis Obispo and the reception they had an afternoon garden party at Kayla’s home. It was a family event that got everyone involved. All the food was coordinated by their friends at church and there were three tables of home made deserts baked and lovingly decorated by all the women with notes about who made what. They reception was decorated with hanging baskets of wheat grass and lemons, and moss covered oak branches. Everything was very personal and had a hand-sewn touch. Another highlight was the father daughter dance between Kayla and her father who is paraplegic and in a wheel chair – they did a choreographed dance to Thriller! so fun! This wedding was also really unique because the reception was in the afternoon which meant that we, as the photographers, got to shoot in natural light without any flash which was a dream! And the reception was over in time for the couple to go out and do sunset shots so that they didn’t have to squeeze them in between the ceremony and reception. And they had this fantastic get away car… Photography and Real Wedding Courtesy of: Mike Larson Photographers, Inc.
