With all the classic, romantic gowns out there, finding a gown that screams “modern” isn’t always easy. Angel Sanchez’s new collection featured contemporary, architectural gowns, ideal for a bride who wants something unique. Our two favorites are pictured above – the gown at left features a “something blue” underlay, and the v-neckline is so flattering. The wedding dress on the right is covered in shimmering paillettes – such a modern and unique way to add some sparkle to your wedding day look. Check out the rest of the new Angel Sanchez wedding dresses here and let us know what you think in the comments!

Red, White, and Blue Wedding Dresses

Posted by Kim on Jul 02, 2012

We are feeling awfully patriotic here at WeddingWire HQ this week, and wanted to share a little red, white, and blue wedding dress inspiration. Of course, there are an abundance of white wedding dresses out there, but we found it interesting that two of the most popular non-white wedding dress colors from the most recent bridal market were red and (pale) blue.

Red: Vera Wang‘s entire collection (including the dress at top, left) was in shades of red and burgundy, while the finale gown at Romona Keveza (top, right) was a rich shade of crimson.

White: Layers and layers of white tulle on these ballgowns by Maggie Sottero (center, left) and Kenneth Pool (center, right).

Blue: Pale blue wedding dresses appeared in several collections, including Oscar de la Renta (bottom, left), and Angel Sanchez (bottom, right).

What do you think of these red, white, and blue wedding gowns? Let us know in the comments!

So far, we’ve found out which wedding dress color you love (pink!), the best back (illusion, by a hair), the sleeves you’re swooning over (cap), and the modern lace treatment you like (bold). And today, we’re talking about one of the biggest trends that hit market this year: peplums!

A peplum is a ruffled overskirt that provides a unique silhouette to a gown – and they were in abundance this season. We saw them in all shapes, sizes, and fabrications, so we wanted to know if you’re a fan of the whole trend and if so, if you prefer your peplum to be big, small, or something in between.

How big do you like your peplums?
