Sarah & Matt
May 28
North Garden, Virgina
About this Wedding: “From the very beginning, Sarah and Matt knew exactly the type of wedding they wanted- it had to be elegant, intimate, fun and ultimately, incredibly personal. One of the first priorities was to acknowledge and honor the bride’s Chinese heritage and they did so by hosting a Chinese culture themed rehearsal dinner at her parent’s restaurant. The room was filled with “double happiness” signs and they held a small tea ceremony. As for the wedding day itself, they knew from the onset, that Charlottesville, where they first fell in love, was the only place to have it. In fact, their wedding was one of the very first to be held at Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards. The couple personalized their wedding day from start to finish- from the bride’s pink glittery Kate Spade shoes and the handmade fans to cool down guests, to the wine corks, collected by friends over time, which held the place cards. One of their favorite details was the table numbers- which was made by the couple taking photographs of them holding the numbers around Charlottesville. As for favorite moments, the bride cited the moment she first saw her husband to be down the aisle, as well their time taking photos at sunset following the ceremony. As for advice for future brides, Sarah said “So my best advice is to truly cherish every moment during your engagement and wedding planning process. Yes, you will get frustrated at vendors and sometimes, even at each other. The important thing is to enjoy the adventure, try to laugh off the mishaps, and always remember that you are marrying the love of your life. So smile and know that, because it is a celebration of your true love, everything will be wonderful!”
