Ashlyn and Brandon were married at Cathedral Oaks Event Center in Belton, Texas on April 19. “They met a few years ago while working in the nursing department at Scott and White,”  Jennifer Lucia, the photographer, said. “The two have been inseparable ever since. I had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session a year ago and that’s where I got to witness firsthand the pure love these two have for one another. The bride wore a lace fit ‘n’ flare wedding gown with off-the-shoulder capped sleeves, accessorized with a birdcage veil, while the groom wore a tan three-piece suit, accessorized with a solid tie and pocket square. Bridesmaids wore long mix ‘n’ matched muted pastel chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of roses and baby’s breath. Guests were greeted with a “Choose a seat, not a side . . .we’re all family once the knot is tied” chalkboard sign and given programs that doubled as fans to beat the heat. The ceremony took place nestled in between six-acres of oak trees. Notice the hanging crystal chandeliers and picture frames? Plus, the aisle markers boasted verses from 1 Corinthians 13. “This wedding was a mixture of fun and elegance,” she said. “Ashlyn put the decor together herself. She loved the country vintage theme.” Inside the great hall, tables were decorated with mason jar centerpieces and candles atop burlap runners and lace overlays atop chiavari chairs. The newlyweds sat at their own designated sweetheart spot. “The dance floor was active the entire evening, with both families cheering loudly in joy and joining together to celebrate this couple’s unity,” Jennifer Lucia, the photographer, said. The yummiest part? The candy bar! Complete with all-you-can-eat treats.
