From the Photographer: The bride and groom are scientists, having met through their studies over bugs and grasses. Nature wove it’s way throughout their relationship, and so it was fitting that nature was a focal point of their wedding, held at the Indiana Memorial Union Secret Garden. The bride caught butterflies that were released as she entered. Host plants (cabbage) were attached to the chair ends. Apple trees flanked them during the ceremony (it was in an apple orchard where he proposed), and they were to be planted at their eventual home. Pots of herbs served as centerpieces. And bookmarks printed with various bird species were favors. A simple and beautifully-done event! ~Bowersock Photographers
