Lazaro Perez’s eponymous line was filled with glamorous and dramatic gowns for the bride looking for a show-stopping dress. Bodices dripping with beads and voluminous and textured skirts were the staples of the Lazaro Spring 2012 collection. Here are a few of our favorite looks:
Sherbert: Blush or pale pink have been quite popular the past season but this sherbert-colored gown is one of our absolute favorites. Its dreamy hue, full tulle skirt and beaded and embroidered bodice is one of the most romantic wedding gowns we’ve seen.
Moire Ribbon: Instead of the classic satin or grosgrain ribbon, Perez accented the waists of several gowns with a shiny moire ribbon, which had a distinct pattern that stood out, making this detail more than a subtle touch but an intricate part of the dress’ design. Some were even adorned with crystals and beading.
Vintage Glam: One of the most popular wedding dress styles, gowns with a nod to Hollywood’s Golden Era feature a loose-fitting silhouette with beading. This ivory vintage embroidered all over net slip dress has a beaded floral band at the waist and is accented with layered chiffon.
Bridal Hair Jewelry: The wedding dresses were accessorized with stunning jewelry by Lulu Frost. We specifically liked the idea of hair do’s adorned with crystal broaches.
Mixing Textures: If you can’t decide between fabrics you can always opt for a combo. This silk faced satin trumpet gown has a shear alencon lace bodice. To ‘merge’ the two fabrics together Lazaro placed a jeweled encrusted gold silk ribbon at the natural waist.
