If you’re hoping to keep things environmentally friendly on your big day, check out Portovert! The online monthly magazine gives advice and tips on how to combine style and swank with social responsibility. Check it out!
Portovert is such a great resource! I was just leaving a comment about my friend’s who used JustGive.org (mentioned in #5 above) to make a donation to their favorite charity in lieu of favors, and created a charity registry so guests could donate to the ASPCA or Surfrider instead of (or in addition to) buying material gifts. They list a ton of charities you can add to the registry (I think 1 million or more?)
Threejays Carriages has been serving sophisticated clients in the DFW Metroplex for over ten years. A family owned and operated company that has the knowledge and experience to provide their clientele with unsurpassed customer service. We are proud to be a green choice for weddings. Compared to traditional transportaton, a horse-drawn carriage is cleaner and does not give off any emissions. We use biodiesel in our truck which hauls our horses and carriage to events in the area. We live on a 60 acre farm and are already recycling all our water and are working on making our already energy effecient poperty completely self-sustained. Visit our site at http://www.threejayscarriages.com or our blog at http://threejayscarriages.wordpress.com/.
Another great green wedding site is http://www.greenunion.co.uk for eco savvy brides
and also http://www.ecochicweddings.com…and another good place is http://www.worldofgood.com
