Rachelle and Ryan were married in a traditional church ceremony at Assumption University Chapel followed by an indoor reception at St. Clair Centre for the Arts in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on August 10. “We chose our venue because of the spectacular view of the Detroit skyline, and the beautifully landscaped riverfront gardens,” Rachelle said. The bride wore an ivory sweetheart a-line wedding gown with a ruched bodice, accessorized with her hair half-up/half-down in loose curls, while the groom wore a three-piece gray suit, accessorized with a pink tie. Bridesmaids complimented one another in differing metallic shades and carried bouquets of roses, orchids, and dahlias. Did you notice that the ring bearer’s cufflinks were Lego pieces? “The one moment that will play in my mind forever is walking down the aisle with my father by my side and seeing Ryan looking back at me with such love in his eyes, and the overwhelming feeling of knowing that this was the best day of my life,” she said. There even was a bag piper who played during the processional! Following the nuptials, the reception followed inside the St. Clair Centre for the Art’s ballroom. The tables were draped in silk linens, and “delicately cascading floral arrangements created an ambiance of an enchanted forest,” Rachelle said. Bonus: A Latin-inspired band performed followed by a DJ. Two for one!
