Yesterday, we shared several of the top trends from Chicago Bridal Market. And today, we have a few more for your consideration. Again, many apologies for the poor photography quality – professional shots coming soon!
Showing (The Right Amount of) Leg At New York Bridal Market a few months ago, super-high slits were all the rage – think dramatic and Angelina Jolie-worthy. The designers at Chicago Market presented gam-baring looks as well, but kept things a little tamer, showing just the right amount of leg, but not too over-the-top.
Thinking Pink While gold was definitely the hot color of the season, we did see several pink gowns hit the runways. We’re happy to report that designers aren’t shying away from this hue, and the pinks seemed a bit more vibrant, less pale, than we’ve seen in the past. If you’re looking to stay away from the ol’ white dress, pink can be a very flattering choice on many skin tones.
Removable Trains The whole “two-dress-in-one” trend has been going on for a while now, but we loved seeing lots of options on the Chicago runways, including some really cool removable skirt layers and trains. It’s an easy way to switch up your look from ceremony to reception without buying a whole new dress.
Ribbon Trim Ruffles There is no doubt, ruffles are the new pick-ups when it comes to skirt treatments. This season, we saw lots of designers trimming the tiers of ruffles with ribbon detail, which helps provide more definition and texture to the look.
